Christian Community Commission, Inc. is a non-profit Christian community  outreach and leadership development organization, established in June of  1996 to find ways to develop and encourage a collective participation of churches to demonstrate a pro-active involvement with inner-city neighborhoods. The organization came together with four initial churches feeling the need to demonstrate and increase the true spirit of Christ by organizing neighborhood Prayer Walks, and community musical events.

  Each year the Commission hosts a number of leadership events, along with  community outreach projects, workshops, seminars and monthly Unity   Services.

  Gospel Fest New Haven — A statewide Gospel outdoor event is held each year at DeGale Field (Goffe Street Park) New Haven, CT, where a number of national and local Gospel Artistes, Speakers and hundreds of churches come to celebrate and thousands of  people come to participateduring the course of the weekend.

  The goal of the festival is to promote Unity among area churches and to   advocate community outreach, while emphasizing racial, cultural and spiritual harmony. It is also designed to address healthcare issues, education economics development and healty family lifestyles.

  The commission presently has a strong and active Board of Directors and  Executive Director. There are a growing number of supportive churches of all denominations that are participating and bringing about a positive change as we continue to organize. We are all showing that through unity, we can help eliminate some of the critical concerns we are facing as a community. The Christian Community Commission believes that most of the problems that   we are facing are founded in moral blindness...lack of knowledge and   misdirection of life.
